Position: Mechanic
Location: Phata Sugarcane Outgrowers Cooperative Office, Chikwawa - Malawi
Phata Sugarcane Outgrowers Cooperative seeks a skilled and experienced full-time mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in maintaining and repairing various vehicles and machinery, including but not limited to Toyota Hilux cars, Massey Ferguson tractors, and motorcycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on Toyota Hilux cars, Massey Ferguson tractors, and motorcycles.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure all vehicles and equipment are in optimal working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Order and replace parts as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic focusing on Toyota Hilux cars, Massey Ferguson tractors, and motorcycles.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Relevant certifications or technical training in automotive/mechanical repair is preferred.
